Forum news
The Taranaki/Whanganui Forum Members have completed the planned initial engagement across the six territorial authorities. Their initial report to Minister Bennett has been submitted. The report outlines the work the Forum have done to date and their plan to identify what social services are required in each community and the best way these services can be delivered.
The Forum begin an in-depth analysis of the Rangitikei District in May. They intend on surveying service providers, engaging with community representatives and talking to families to really find out what supports are needed, what is currently working well and can be expanded, and where there may be gaps or duplications. They are seeking innovative ideas on how best services can be delivered across the Rangitikei communities. The Forum expect to complete this work by June. The next area of focus will be the Taranaki District.
